Milk is considered a health promoting food, but the truth is that it is exactly the opposite. Milk is pushed on children, however this beverage promotes disease. According to a study from Sweden, which was published in The British Medical Journal, the milk of cow deteriorates the health if it is consumed for a longer period of time. This study included 61,433 women who were aged from 39 to 74 during a period of time of 20 years and 45,339 men who were of similar age during a period of 11 years. The study found out that the more milk people drank, the chance of a bone fracture or death increased.
Women had bigger chances of death or a bone fracture. Women who drank three or more glasses of milk per day had almost double chances of dying during the study compared to those who drank only one glass.
Why Does Milk Lead to Bone Fractures and Osteoporosis?
The dairy industry has been putting a lot of energy into persuading people that cheese or milk which are pasteurized dairy products increase the bio available levels of calcium. However, the pasteurization process only produces calcium carbonate, which requires a chelating agent to enter the cells.
